Students in French Immersion celebrated Winter in honour of the Quebec Winter Carnival. First students watched a video and then they made Bonhomme pins to attached to their shirts. The highlight of the morning was the parade of costumes when French Immersion students strutted through the hallways wearing hockey jerseys, hats, glitter and canoes! This isn’t a typo, it’s a fact. English students got involved as well as they wore Bonhomme-like sashes and red outfits. See the picture below of the Bonhomme paper bag craft that Ms. Pitts’ class made. Many thanks to the French Immersion teachers who organized the day. They plan to make snow sculptures at a later date. What a wonderful celebration!
